Royals Waste Good Outing by Reichert

The Kansas City Royals fell 14 games behind the first-place Minnesota on Monday after losing 3-1 to the Twins. The Royals wasted a great pitching performance by Dan Reichert. The righthander allowed just one earned run on five hits in seven innings of work, but he still falls to 3-4 on the season. Joe Mays improves to 5-2 with an even better performance. he allowed just a run on six hits in eight innings. The Royals only run was driven in by Mike Sweeney with an RBI 5th inning double.
