The Federal reserve Board has lowered interest rates again with a half-percentage point cut. Robert Weagley, a consumer economics professor at the University of Missouri, says this is a sign the Fed wants to jump start the economy. Weagley says the cut will allow businesses to spend more money, and that spending will translate into hiring of more people, who in turn will have more expendable income.
