Eric Milton allowed three runs and eight hits in 6 1/3 innings of work to lead the Minnesota Twins past the Kansas City Royals 7-3 on Sunday. The Royals lose despite a pair of hits and a pair of runs batted in from third baseman Joe Randa. Every Twin starter had a hit and seven different Twins scored runs in the win. Mac Suzuki struggled in this one, allowing five runs on six hits in two innings of work. Before the game, the Royals fired pitching coach Brent Strom. No replacement has been named. Whoever gets the job will be the fourth pitching coach for the Royals during Tony Muser’s five years on the job as manager.
