A report out of Milwaukee on Wednesday said that the IHL is expected to cease operations following the completion of its playoffs and six of its teams will move to the AHL. The Kansas City Blades were not one of the six teams mentioned in the report. Blades spokesman Gregg DeVito told Missourinet Sports on Wednesday that as it stands right now, the day-to-day operation of the Blades will continue as normal. He also added that he did expect some sort of announcement on the future of the league to be released by the end of the postseason.
