Health Department Issues Warning About Novelty Necklaces

The Missouri Department of health has issued a warning about possibly dangerous novelty necklaces from Mexico. The beads of the necklaces are filled with mercury, which is highly toxic. The coern is that the fragile glass breaks and the mercury leaks out. It is dangerous not only in its liquid form, but as a gas. Its vapors can make people very sick.
