Missouri Looks To Open Business Opportunities In Africa

May 5, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

The Missouri Department of Economic Development wants to boost opportunities for Missourians thinking of doing business in Africa. Many Americans investing overseas look to Europe and Asia, even Australia. But very few focus on Africa. The Department of Economic Development’s Office of International Marketing believes overlooking Africa is a mistake. Missouri is already doing business with part of that continent and it wants to see more Missouri businesses taking advantage of the opportunities that exist. Missouri businesses investing in Africa are being directed to the area of life sciences, which includes biotechnology and pharmaceutical research.
