A long day at the yard ended in dissapointment for the St. Louis Cardinals as they dropped a 4-3, 15 inning decision to the Montreal Expos. Milton Bradley drew a bases-loaded walk in the top of the 15th off loser Mike James (1-1) to plate the go-ahead and eventual winning run. Masato Yoshii twirled three shutout innings out of the bullpen to pick up the win for the Expos. Rick Ankiel started ad sruggled again for the Redbirds. The lefthander lasted only 4 1/3 innings, allowing six hits including a pair of home runs. He was charged with three runs and walked four while striking out three. He also uncorked a wild pitch. The Cardinals host the New York Mets this weekend.
