Jeff Suppan allowed five runs in the first two inings and the Kansas City Royals never recovered, losing their second straight to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays 5-3. Suppan settled down after his rough start and lasted six innings, but he still dropped to 1-3. The Royals could manage only four singles off four Tampa pictures and they have yet to gof or extra bases in this series.
