Darryl Kile pitched seven shutout innings while Jim Edmonds and Albert Pujols knocked in three runs each as the St. Louis Cardinals dismissed Montreal 7-2 on Tuesday. Kile was brilliant in this one, allowing just five hits and striking out seven. He did not walk a batter in improving to 3-2 on the season. At the plate, Pujols doubled twice and his three runs batted in give him a team-high 19 for the season. Cardinals improve to 9-10 on the campaign. They battle Montreal again tonight and give the ball to Andy Benes.
