The hiring of a special attorney to work with a committee redrawing Missouri’s Congressional districts is under attack by Democrats in the State Senate. Straight party line votes have enabled the redistricting committee to hire Washington, D.C., lawyer Michael Carven. Republicans say he’ll advise the committee on drawing up new Congressional districts. Democrats claim it is a partisan move.
