In what is probably the most dominant performance of his young career, Royals righthander Dan Reichert held the Toronto Blue Jays to just two hits and an unearned run in eight plus innings of work, leading Kansas City to a 5-1 win on Sunday. Reichert improves to 2-1 on the season after striking out six and walking five. He allowed the first two runners to get on base in the ninth, but Roberto Hernandez put out the fire to earn his fourth save of the season. Mark Quinn and Mike Sweeney each homered in the victory. Royals are off tonight.
