Money for detection and treatment of cervical and breast cancer has been put into the state budget for next year. The Senate has added $338,000 dollars to the budget, which still has to go through several steps before final passage. Negotiations between the House and Senate will determine whether the money stays. If the money stays in the budget the federal government will provide three dollars for each dollar the state puts up.
