The federal probe into allegations of attempted vote fraud in St. Louis is expanding. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports Nona Montgomery, the St. Louis director of Operation Big Vote – a minority get-out-the-vote program – has been subpoenaed by the F-B-I to report to a federal grand jury on May 3rd. Sources say that’s the same day the city Election Board must turn over records on every resident who registered to vote, voted, or whose efforts to vote were rejected in last November’s general election or in last month’s mayoral primary. Operation Big Vote has had ties to some of the area’s top black politicians.
