State Senate Upholds Secretary Of State’s Request For More Powers Investigating Election Fraud

April 18, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

The Secretary of State’s push to get more power to investigate election fraud has been upheld by the Senate. Secretary of State Matt Blunt wants an election reform bill passed that would let him subpoena election records and have the Attorney General prosecute election fraud. Sponsors of the bill say it springs from vote fraud allegations in St. Louis – allegations that are being investigated by the FBI.
