J.D. Drew’s solo home run in the bottom of the sixth inning proved to be the difference as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Houston Astros on Sunday 6-5. With the win, the Cards avoid the weekend sweep and even their record at 6-6 on the young season. Mike James got just one out, but he still earns the victory out of the bullpen. Steve Kline got the final two outs for his first save of the season. Andy Benes eanred a no-decision on the mound, but he had a big day at the plate. The Cardinal righthander cleared the bases in the fourth inning with a three-run double.
