The Kansas City Chiefs will open the 2001 NFL season at home on September 9th against the Oakland Raiders. Kansas City will not appear on Monday Night Football this season, but they will play host to the Philadelphia Eagles in a prime-time Thursday night game. That will be played on November 29th and it will be televised by ESPN.
