Former Cardinal Mark Little snapped a 4-4 tie with a two-run ninth inning single as the Colorado Rockies snapped the St. Louis Cardinals five-game winning streak by handing the home team a 6-4 defeat. Lost in the loss was a great pitching performance by Cardinal starter Dustin Hermanson. The righthander flirted with a no-hitter for 6 1/3 innings before Larry Walker took him deep for his fifth home run of the season. Hermanson pitched seven innings in all, allowing three runs on three hits. Cardinals still held a 4-3 lead in the ninth, but Steve Kline allowed all three runs and Colorado held on. St. Louis begins a weekend series with Houston tonight.
