After their fabulous run in the NCAA Women’s Tournament, the Southwest Missouri State Lady Bears jump to 4th in the final ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. SMS ended the regular season ranked 15th in the listing, but they then advanced to the Final Four of the tournament where they eventually lost to Purdue 81-64. This was the second time the Lady Bears had advanced to the NCAA Tourney’s Final Four. The first was in 1992.
