Darryl Kile was hammered for six runs on eleven hits in just five innings of work as the St. Louis Cardinals lost their Opening Day match-up in Colorado 8-0 to the Rockies. Mike Hampton was brilliant in earning the win for the Rocks, he allowed just five hits in eight-and-a-third innings of work. Todd Walker went 3-4 at the plate for Colorado with a home run and three RBI. Cardinals are off today, their three-game series in Denver continues tommorrow night.Cardinals also make a roster move yesterday, placing Bobby Bonilla on the 15-day DL while John Mabry was added to the roster.
