Royals Start Suppan in Opener

For the second consectutive season, the Kansas City Royals will start righthander Jeff Suppan on Opening Day when they battle the Yankees today. Suppan won a team-high 10 games in 2000 with a 4.94 ERA. New York will start “The Rocket” Roger Clemens. Royals are coming off a 77-win season. Today’s game from Yankee Stadium starts at 12:05.
