A dozen years after he and an accomplice brutally killed a man and a woman during a botched robbery at a home in Jefferson City, Tomas Ervin has been executed by lethal injection at the Potosi Prison. In December of 1988, Ervin and Bert Hunter murdered Mildred Hodges and her son, Richard Hodges. Hunter was put to death on June 28th of last year. Nine months to the day that Hunter was executed, Ervin met the same fate. He was pronounced dead at 12:04 a.m. In his final statement, Ervin maintained his innocence, claiming the courts had denied him the opportunity to prove his innocence.
