Carter Headed to Tennessee

March 28, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

Today’s St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the St. Louis Rams are close to a deal with the Tennessee Titans which would send defensive end Kevin Carter to the Titans in exchange for Tennesee’s first-round pick in this year’s NFL Draft. Should this deal go through, the Rams would then own the 20th and 29th picks in the first round. Carter led the NFL in sacks in 1999 with 17 and he has trapped opposing quarterbacks 39 1/2 times over the past three years.
