Cards Lose; Royals Win

The St. Louis Cardinals were tripped up in Grapefruit League action on Tuesday, losing to Atlanta 7-5. Dustin Hermanson pitched well in defeat for the Redbirds, going five-and-a-third innings, allowing just two runs. Kansas City Royals thumped Tampa Bay 9-3 yesterday behind four runs batted in from Dee Brown. Brian Meadows was brilliant on the hill in this one, allowing just one run in five-and-a-third innings. He struck out five while walking none.
