Winrod Son Acquitted On All Counts

March 23, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

An Ozark County jury has found Stephen Winrod, the son of anti-Semitic preacher Gordon Winrod, not guilty on all six counts of child abduction he faced in the kidnapping of six of Gordon Winrod’s grandchildren. Stephen Winrod was arrested last May, along with his father and his sister, Carol Winrod. Gordon Winrod was convicted in January of six counts of child abduction and was sentenced on Monday to the maximum thirty years in prison. Carol Winrod entered a plea, this week, to two charges of child abduction and four charges against her were dropped. She will be sentenced in May. Stephen Winrod left the court today a free man.
