Blues Stunned by Isles

March 21, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

Roman Hamrlik’s goal just 24 seconds into overtime gave the New York Islanders a 4-3 win over the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday night at the Savvis Center. The loss spoiled the home debut of forward Keith Tkachuk who was held scoreless. Roman Turek struggled between the pipes, stopping only 16 of the 20 shots he faced to take the loss. Jochen Hecht, Scott Mellanby and Cory Stillman scored the Blues goals. The Blues have just one win in their last ten games. They are four points behind Detroit for first place in the Central Division.
