White supremacist Gordon Winrod has been sentenced to thirty years in prison for kidnapping six of his grandchildren from North Dakota and taking them to his compound in Gainesville. The 74-year-old Winrod addressed the court for a half hour prior to sentencing. He told the court he is not anti-semitic, but that he is anti-Jew. One of Winrod’s children, Carol Winrod, was to have gone on trial today. But she has entered an Alford Plea, in which she did not admit guilt but admitted the evidence was probably enough for conviction if the case went to trial. She’s been released after spending ten months in jail. Her brother still faces trial on child abduction charges.
