The man in charge of Missouri’s environmental programs says he has only started reshaping his agency so that it’s more responsive to the people. Department of Natural Resources Director Steve Mahfood says when he took over the agency he had to change the way employees saw themselves and how they did their jobs. He says the department now puts more emphasis on serving the public. Mahfood has been the D.N.R. Director for three years and was recently reappointed by Governor Bob Holden.
