The new man in charge of the State Insurance Department thinks it’s time some attitudes about health care change. Scott Lakin was an insurance agent for twenty years. For eight years he was a member of the Missouri House, representing a district in Kansas City. Now, he’s Governor Holden’s choice to head up the State Insurance Department. Lakin says it’s important for both consumers and the insurance industry to realize that the most important aspect of health insurance is forhealthy people to take care of sick people.
