Missouri Women Shock the World

March 19, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

Amanada Lassiter’s 22 points helped lead the Missouri women’s basketball team to the biggest upset of the NCAA Tournament so far, a 78-65 win over Georgia on the Bulldogs home floor. With the win, the Tigers advance to the East Regional semi-finals in Pittsburgh on Saturday. There they will face the winner of tonight’s Louisiana Tech/TCU game. This was the first loss at home for Georgia this season in 15 games.
