Clarence Gilbert’s jumper with 0.9 seconds remaining gave the Missouri Tigers a thrilling 70-68 win in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Mizzou earns the right to now play top-seed Duke in Round 2. Arthur Johnson led five Tigers in double figures with 15 points, Gilbert finished with ten. Tigers actually jumped out to a 15-0 lead in this one before Georgia rallied to take a one-point lead into the locker room at the half, 33-32. Tigers also lead 68-57 with 3:51 to play before Georgia rallied to tie the game, setting the stage for Gilbert’s heroics. The Mizzou/Duke game will tip-off at 12:10 on Saturday afternoon.
