Televangelist and former candidate for Missouri governor Larry Rice is suggesting there might be a link between the St. Louis Cardinals’ request for public financing for a new ballpark and the mystery donotation pledged to help build a new basketball arena for the University of Missouri. Rice suggests the team’s managing partner, Bill DeWitt, migyht be the mystery donor who promised $25-million. Rice suggests the promise was made in an effort to curry favor with state lawmakers.
