Governor Bob Holden is praising the Missouri House for passing two key pieces of his leglslative agenda. It’s approved a bill that would provide incentives for teachers to complete the National Board Certification process. He says education will improve as the quality of teaching improves. He’s also pleased with passage of his women’s health initiative. This would require health maintenance organizations to provide women direct access to their OB/GYNs, cover bone density for ostoporosis and prescription contraceptives, and give annual notification for cancer screenings.
