More state officials are weighing in on the State Supreme Court ruling reversing a lower court decision giving taxpayers more than $500-Million in Hancock Amendment refunds. Attorney General Jay Nixon says he was not surprised by what the Supreme Court had to say and felt confident the state would emerge victorious. State Auditor Claire McCaskill says she was confident about the state’s case. She adds the certainty created by the decision should help lawmakers as they deal with budget issues.
