Mike Grier’s goal at the 11:20 mark of the third period proved to be the game-winner as the Edmonton Oilers beat the visiting St. Louis Blues 5-3 on Wednesday. The loss is the fifth straight away from home for the Blues. They also fall out of first place in the Central Division as Detroit beat Anaheim 3-1 to take a one-point lead over the Blues. Scott Young scored twice in defeat for St. Louis.
