Supporters of .08 drinking and driving legislation are pushing hard to get their bill passed in the General Assembly. They held a news conference at the State Capitol to introduce a woman who was left paralyzed as a result of an accident with a driver whose blood alcohol content registered .08. The victim was hit head on and barely lived to tell about it. She told reporters the most painful part of her experience is knowing that the driver was never prosecuted as a drunk driver.
