Creighton’s pressing defense proved to be too much for the Southwest Missouri State Bears as the Bluejays clobbered the visitors 72-48. The Bears lost by 24 points despite scoring the first seven points of the contest. SMS committed 25 turnovers in their regular-season finale. The Bears finish the regular season with a 12-15 record. They are 8-10 in the Missouri Valley Conference and the eight seed heading into the conference tournament. As a result, they will play a play-in game on Friday night against Wichita State. The winner of that game plays top-seed Creighton on Saturday.
