The state Supreme Court has heard arguments regarding the confidentiality of church confessions. Robert Eisenhouer supposedly admitted to sexually abusing two young girls. But the alleged confession came during a talk with some Texas County church elders. Eisenhouer’s attorney insists the courts should not be allowed to force a minister to take the stand in a courtroom and provide information learned in confidence. Several religious denominations have filed briefs supporting the right-of-privacy between ministers and churchgoers.
