Lefthander Rick Ankiel had his third throwing session early Wednesday morning. Cardinals manager Tony LaRussa said the 21-year old “had a good throw”. Ankiel did not face hitters on Wednesday and the workout took place before the rest of the team reported for workouts. Ankiel is trying to regain the control which mysteriously deserted him during last season’s playoffs.
