Running back Donnell Bennett has decided to void the final six years of his contract and instead become a free agent. The 28-year old rushed for only 24 yards in the year 2000 on 27 carries. The Chiefs will save about $3.8 million dollars against the salary cap as a result of this move. The team is not ruling out bringing the Miami (FL) product back at a lower pricetag.
