Holden offers transportation support

February 15, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

Governor Holden says he’s interested in a Republican proposal to create a Secretary of Transportation for the state and to elect state highway commissioners by congressional district. He says he’s open to all suggestions for strengthening Missouri’s transportation system. Holden says it would be counterproductive to put forward a plan of his own. He says any plan he recommends would distract from his efforts to form a consensus among competing interests.
