Rohrbach pushes more DNA testing

February 14, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

A California, Missouri, lawmaker hopes to give judges and prosecutors guidelines for when to do DNA testing. Larry Rohrbach would allow inmates to use the testing in an appeal when the identity of the suspect was questioned at trial, and if the testing could affect their guilt. To that end, Rohrbach also wants DNA samples from all inmates as they enter the prison system, and for jail inmates who’re being released.
