In what is becoming a common refrain in the Missouri Valley Conference, women’s basketball standout Jackie Stiles has been named the conference Player of the Week. This marks the sixth time this season that Stiles has won the award. The 5-8 senior averaged 34 points in two SMS wins last week, including a 43-point exposion against Southern Illinois on Friday. Stiles is just 114 points away from becoming the nation’s all-time Division I women’s basketball scoring champion.
