Shorthanded Tigers Fall Short in Ames

February 12, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

Playing without injured leading scorer Kareem Rush and suspended second-leading scorer Clarence Gilbert, the Missouri Tigers just did not have the horses to keep up with #12 Iowa State and as a result they dropped a 72-64 decision in Ames, Iowa on Sunday. The Cyclones jumped out to early 10-0 and 14-3 leads, but Missouri hung close thanks in large part to eight three-pointers from senior guard Brian Grawer. Missouri is now 15-8 on the season, 6-4 in the Big Twelve.
