A group wanting people to drive cars without using gasoline has promoted its cause with a special conference in Kansas City. They’re people who market propane as a vehicle fuel. The fleet director of a Kansas City trucking company, Alan Mock, says propane is the answer to America’s reliance on foreign oil because of its stable supply and pricing structure. He says 80% of propane used in this country is produced here.
