Governor Holden says the state needs to pass a tougher drunk driving law before it loses even more money that is needed to build roads. He’s pushing for approval of the law lowering the drunk driving standard to .08. One such bill is ready for debate in the house. But a similar bill has been stalled in the state senate, where senate leader Peter Kinder is trying to keep it from going into effect until late in 2003. Holden was in Springfield today, stumping for the bill’s passage.
