Missouri’s Gilbert Suspended Indefinately

February 9, 2001 By admin Leave a Comment

Earlier this week, Missouri Head Coach Quin Snyder lost his leading scorer Kareem Rush for the season to a thumb injury. Yesterday, his second leading scorer, Clarence Gilbert was suspended indefinately for undisclosed internal disciplinary reasons. Gilbert will not make the trip to Iowa State for Sunday’s game with the 12th-ranked Cyclones. The junior guard is averaging 17 points a game this season for the Tigers. In a related story, junior Kenge Stevenson has been dismissed from the team for undisclosed internal reasons. The former walk-on had played in 27 games over the last three years.
