On the day Stanley Lingar prepared for his execution, one of his colleagues at the Potosi prison learned he might be next. The state supreme court has set a March 7th execution date for Antonio Richardson, convicted of helping throw three girls off a Mississippi River Bridge in St. Louis. Corrections department spokesman Tim Kniest says Richardson is in protective custody, to keep other inmates who might want to get revenge on him from doing so, and to keep him from doing harm to another inmate with whom he might have a score to settle.
