The guidelines are much less strict this year on who qualifies for help paying their natural gas bills. Luck says the federal government has given Missouri $50 million dollars to give out this year–normally it’s half that amount. With the extra money, comes extra leeway. Families making up to 150% of the poverty level can qualify. Usually it’s 125%. Families can also get more money this year than they have in year’s past.
