There are arguments on both sides of the latest attempt to change the language of Missouri’s laws governing abortion. A bill introduced in the Senate would require a doctor to inform a woman wanting an abortion of studies showing a possible link between abortion and breast cancer. Susan Klein of Missouri right to Life likes the idea, saying women have a right to all the information available to them. But Eric Fox of Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid-Missouri says the research is flawed. And opponents of the bill say it is an attempt by those opposed to abortion to restrict access to abortion.
