State fair director heads north

Justin Stidham State fair director Gary Slater is quitting to run the Iowa State Fair. He’s been the state fair director for four years. Missouri’s state fair drew about 345,000. The Iowa Fair is located in Des Moines and draws almost one million people. Slater is the second Missouri State Fair director to leave for Iowa. Marion Lucas went to Des Moines after five years in Sedalia.
